Changes Made

I made several changes in the appearance and structure here today. All of the pages are now in the menus at the top of the site.  I also  re-did the links on the side bars. There are some more I want to add, but doing that will wait for another day.  There are still some dead links on some of the pages that will be taken care of  over the next few days.  For now I am satisfied with the progress made today.

My Latest Project

My latest project has been consuming almost of my free time for past few weeks.  I am the person behind Dish and Wash Cloth Mania. I realized one day when looking at the site that it had a lot of dead links. I knew it had been neglected for a few months, but had no idea how desperately it needed my attention.  I was so ashamed of it that at one point I considered making it private until there was time to make the necessary changes.  Since that was not the best decision, my next choice was to jump in and work on it as hard as I do any other major project in life.

In the past two and half weeks all of the dead links have been removed. New links are being added everyday. Sometimes it takes a bit longer than I anticipate because of my habit of cross referencing patterns . For example, a round, lacy crocheted cloth will be added to each page where it fits. My motivation is to make it easier and more efficient to use the site.

Fun Day

Yesterday was fun by my standards. I fell in love with playing around on computers from the first time I saw the original Apple 11c. It intrigued me and caught my imagination and sense of fun. I was hooked. My first computer provided lots of fun and learning.

Fast forwarding more than twenty years, One of my ideas of fun is still to have computer time.  I enjoy playing around on the internet; blogging and playing around with themes. My free time yesterday was spent making some changes to this blog. My goal was to minimize some of the clutter and still place information on the site that I want to have here. That meant weeding out and replacing dead links;playing around with color changes;rearranging some pages and adding links to a side bar.

In the middle of doing those things I learned how to use and work with  custom menus in order to make them look pleasing to me. I also learned where and how  to make sticky-notes. Those were some fun and simple  skills to acquire.

There are more things to do but they will have to wait until time permits.
